Not all extras work the same way. It depends on the type of property, the type of guest, and — above all — how easy they are for you to manage.

The ones that almost always sell

  • Late check-out (high margin, zero cost)
  • Transfer from station or airport
  • Breakfast delivered to the room or courtyard
  • Booking a table at a good local restaurant

The ones that often aren't worth it

  • Small extras perceived as expected, like a paid bottle of water: they generate more annoyance than value.
  • Generic tours bought from brokers: little curation and mixed reviews end up affecting your image.
  • Services that depend on an external supplier with rigid hours.

The decisive criterion

If an extra costs you more time to manage than to sell, it's not worth it. Focus on a few well-curated things, presented well, at an honest price.
