The digital guide that knows when it's Christmas, Carnival or Festa Junina

Small seasonal accents to make the guide feel more alive, without making the host's work any harder.

A guest guide shouldn't feel the same on every single day of the year.

Someone arriving in December lives a different atmosphere from someone arriving in the middle of Carnival. A guest staying during Easter, New Year or a local festival experiences the trip differently. The problem is that, in most cases, digital guides and PDFs stay exactly the same: same cover, same text, same order, same tone.

StayFast was built to move past that limit.

Not just to collect useful information.

Not just to replace the old welcome PDF.

But to create a guide that actually accompanies the stay, even in the small details.

That's where Seasonal Accents come in.

What Seasonal Accents are

Seasonal Accents are small visual and textual touches that can appear in the guest guide during special periods of the year: Christmas, New Year, Carnival, Easter, Festas Juninas, Valentine's Day, local festivities or custom dates set by the property.

They are not notifications.

They are not events to manage.

They are not invasive promotional content.

They are discreet details: a small icon, a short phrase, a contextual hint at the right moment.

For example:

  • "Merry Christmas" during the holiday season.
  • "Carnival is coming" in the days around Carnival.
  • "Happy Easter" during the Easter weekend.
  • "Viva São João!" during the Festas Juninas.

The guide stays consistent with the theme chosen by the host, but adds a live, temporary and contextual touch.

Why a PDF can't really do this

A PDF can be edited, of course. You can change the cover, swap an image, add a Christmas graphic or prepare a special summer version.

But in practice that means one thing: more work.

You have to remember to update it, upload it again, replace the link, let guests know, and then remove that reference when the period ends. And often the result is that the PDF stays as it was, or keeps decorations that are already out of season.

A modern digital guide should behave differently.

It should know that today is a special day.

It should show the right touch when it matters.

And it should make it disappear automatically when it's no longer needed.

That's the point: not creating more work for the host, but making the guide feel more cared for without making operations heavier.

A more human guide, without becoming complicated

Seasonal Accents follow a simple rule: they have to stay light.

They don't turn StayFast into an event calendar.

They don't force the host to publish constant updates.

They don't change the property's visual identity.

They don't get in the way of guest navigation.

Their purpose is more subtle: to make people feel that the guide is up to date, attentive and connected to the moment of the stay.

A guest who opens the guide at Christmas and finds a small "Merry Christmas" in the Good morning screen feels a different kind of care compared to a fully static guide.

The same applies to a pousada in Brazil during Festas Juninas, to a city property during a local event, or to a B&B that wants to highlight a particular time of year.

These are small details, but in hospitality the details matter.

How it works for the host

The host can switch Seasonal Accents on or off from their management area.

Each property can have suggested periods based on country or location. For instance, a property in Brazil can find ready-to-use periods like Carnaval, Natal, Ano Novo, Páscoa and Festas Juninas.

Each period can have:

  • a name;
  • a date window;
  • a small icon;
  • a short message;
  • a priority, useful when several periods overlap;
  • a switch to turn it on or off.

The host can also create custom periods — a town festival, a property anniversary, a special week or a recurring local event.

The important part is that everything stays simple: you set it once, and StayFast only shows the right accent when the right period arrives.

Where the guest sees them

Seasonal Accents can appear discreetly in the most natural areas of the guide, such as the Good morning screen or the home view.

The idea is not to decorate every page.

The idea is to give a light, elegant, contextual signal.

A small touch in the right place is worth more than ten graphic elements scattered everywhere.

That's why Seasonal Accents are designed to integrate with the guide, not to cover it. The property stays the protagonist. The stay stays at the centre. The special period just becomes a way to make the experience warmer and more current.

The guest's language matters too

A seasonal message really works only when the guest understands it.

That's why an evolved digital guide shouldn't just show the same phrase in the host's language. If the guest is reading the guide in English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, French or German, the small seasonal message should adapt too.

"Feliz Natal" is perfect for a Brazilian guest.

"Merry Christmas" feels more natural for an English-speaking guest.

"Buon Natale" is the right phrasing for an Italian guest.

Here too the benefit isn't only aesthetic. It's experience.

A multilingual guide doesn't only translate essential information: it accompanies the guest in the way they live the stay.

A small feature, a big difference

Seasonal Accents aren't the most flashy feature in StayFast. They don't directly sell an extra, they don't manage bookings, they don't replace the host's work.

But they tell a lot about the direction of the product.

StayFast doesn't want to be a simple container of information. It wants to be a digital guide that is alive, useful and consistent with the moment of the trip.

A guide that can show Wi-Fi instructions, the map, property information, recommended experiences and available Extras, but that at the same time knows how to add a human detail when it matters.

Because hospitality isn't made of features alone.

It's also made of attention.

And sometimes a small "Good morning, happy Carnival" is enough to make a guide feel less static and much closer to the guest.

StayFast: beyond the welcome PDF

The old PDF stays the same until someone changes it.

StayFast, instead, can adapt to the stay, to the period, to the language and to the guest's needs.

Seasonal Accents are a simple example of this difference: a light, discreet, automatic feature that still makes the guide feel more alive.

No need to redo the layout.

No need to prepare a new brochure.

No need to chase every holiday by hand.

Just set the periods once and let the guide do its job.

Because a good guide shouldn't only inform.

It should also make the guest feel in the right place, at the right moment.
